As the owner of four hair and beauty salons in the City of London back in the 1990s, waxing specialist Pamela Drew was one of the first in the UK to introduce the brazilian wax.
Having gained vast experience, and now returned to the North West due to family commitments, Pamela has decided to focus on one specialism: waxing.

Pamela’s home-from-home style waxing salon is newly-built, bright and airy – and scrupulously clean. She’s designed it to ensure her clients feel relaxed and welcome.
Regular Waxing
No two people are the same, so at Waxing Works we offer many different kinds of waxing treatments, from small add-on treatments such as lip and chin, to full body waxing, leaving the whole body silky smooth.
Initial consultation
As a new client you will receive an in-depth initial consultation about your waxing needs. Pamela will describe the different treatments, so that, together, you identify the waxing treatment that is best and right for you.
Female intimate waxing options
- Standard bikini wax – hair is removed from the top of the legs where your knicker line sits. This removes hair that you would see when wearing underwear, a bikini or swimming costume.
- Hollywood wax – hair is removed from the entire area, including bottom.
- Brazilian wax – similar to a Hollywood, but a strip of hair is left on the top.
- Our aim at Waxing Works is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed with zero embarrassment.
Male intimate waxing
- Keeping everything neat and tidy appeals to many men nowadays, whether for hygiene, aesthetics or more personal reasons.
- Pamela will work to get you the look and feel you want, being smooth and hair-free, in a relaxed but professional environment. She can remove as little or as much hair as you wish; and takes particular care with those most sensitive areas.
Pregnancy waxing
Pregnancy is one of the most amazing and exciting times in a woman’s life. Pamela’s specialist pregnancy waxing treatments will help make any mum-to-be feel relaxed and good about herself.
If you perhaps feel a little self-conscious or sensitive, Pamela will work her magic to reassure you, and treat you in a way that helps you relax and feel comfortable. She’ll make your time as quick, easy, and hopefully pain-free as possible.
Aftercare
Aftercare is key for a freshly waxed part of your body: keep it clean, exfoliated and moisturised. Pamela will show you how to do this to prolong the feeling of a beautiful wax.
She will teach you how to exfoliate after each treatment. You can also buy aftercare treatments if you wish, to help extend the effects of waxing, and keep the skin as silky smooth as possible.

- If possible, please shower before your appointment. If you are coming straight from work, there will be fresh wipes for your convenience and comfort.
- You will need to strip from the waist down, as Pamela does not have disposable knickers for you to wear, nor does she cover you with a towel. She has been trained to carry out her treatments as quickly and painless as she can.
- Some areas will require the skin to be stretched whist applying and removing the wax. If you want the perfect wax treatment to remove every single hair, she’ll need your knickers off.
- Some ladies may feel embarrassed for the first minute or so, but Pamela will do her best to make you feel comfortable throughout your treatment. Remember – she has seen it all before!
- Pamela’s entire focus is on getting every hair removed, and making sure your treatment is completed to perfection.

- If possible, please shower before your appointment. If you are coming straight from work, there will be fresh wipes for your convenience and comfort.
- Note that Pam operates a professional waxing service and nothing more. Inappropriate behaviour and language will not be tolerated, and you will be asked to leave.
- Some of the areas being treated will require the skin to be stretched whist applying and removing the wax. Whilst this may be an embarrassing situation for you, Pamela will chat about everyday topics, helping put you at ease during your treatment.
Hygiene standards & Covid-19 procedures
Pam prides herself on high waxing hygiene standards and safe practice is a commitment she takes very seriously at Waxing Works.
Additionally, Waxing Works is accredited by the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC), and so has a responsibility to ensure all treatment practices, premises and products are clean and safe.
The Waxing Works studio adheres to a very strict policy when it comes to hygiene and is clean and tidy at all times. We know this is of the utmost important to you and Pamela too.
Thorough sanitisation is conducted after every appointment, and fresh equipment and products prepared for the next customer. Service areas are cleaned at the end of each treatment, in line with hygiene regulations.
Waxing Works stock, such as wax, lotions and gels, is regularly rotated to ensure they are in date and safe for use.

Pam’s waxing hygiene policy is very simple:
- No double dipping – every time a spatula is dipped into the wax pot, and had contact with your skin, it’s then disposed of into the bin. Rest assured that there will not be even a single stray hair floating around in Pamela’s pots.
- Hands are sanitised before and after every client.
- Disposable gloves and bed towels replaced after every client.
- Bed is thoroughly sanitised and bins emptied after every client.
Covid-19
Covid 19 rules are liable to change, and we may adjust our procedures if necessary, to follow the guidelines. So, if this affects you in any way we apologise in advance, but we do need to follow the rules.
